Lower Extremity Edema Management

The Lower Extremity Edema Management seminar is back! This comprehensive two-day seminar scheduled for November 2-3, 2019 is focused on developing strong foundational skills in the practice of assessment and management of lower extremity edema.
The seminar will cover how to recognize common conditions such as chronic venous insufficiency, lymphedema, lipedema. Participants will have an opportunity to practice vascular assessments using Doppler Ultrasound and Photoplethysmograph machines. Discussion on best practice to complete a comprehensive lower extremity assessment will be included. Principles of compression including wrapping, pneumatic pumping and compression systems will be reviewed.
Vendors from 3M Canada, BSN Medical and Market Drugs Medical will be present during portions of the weekend to offer participants with hands-on practice applying compression wraps and to provide knowledge on compression stockings and available stocking aids.
