This two-day course is intended for occupational and physiotherapists working with patients who have functional limitations from neurological impairments. This course is designed to introduce the components of treatment required to appropriately address the orthopedic physical needs of patients with neurological impairments including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries. The primary goal of this course is to provide a conceptual foundation onto which further education and experience can be built.
The seminar will incorporate hands-on practice with other participants to further integrate theory and skills learned during the two days of instruction
A strong understanding and review of upper extremity functional anatomy is strongly recommended prior to course participation.
