My main areas of practice include: medical/legal, insurer and/or employer assessments, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Occupational Therapy Home Assessments, Future Cost Of Care Analyses, Ergonomic Assessments (specializing in office ergonomics), and worksite visits.
I am an Occupational Therapist registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT), the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT). I have practised Occupational Therapy since graduating from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Medicine, School of Medical Rehabilitation with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy (BMR OT) in 1999. I have worked in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. I have more than 18 years’ experience in completing Functional Capacity Evaluations, Post-Offer Employment Testing, return to work planning / implementation, in-home assessments and ergonomic evaluations (specializing in office ergonomics). I have completed post-graduate continuing education requirements for certification as a Functional Capacity Evaluator from WorkWell (then known as Isernhagen) in May 2000 and as a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES) from Matheson in April 2013. I have completed the Life Care Planning course and Cost of Future Care & Functional Testing: Preparing Defensible Life Care Plans from Matheson in October 2013 and May 2016 respectively. I have completed numerous functional and ergonomic examinations for insurance companies, law firms and employers. I have assessed numerous individuals to determine their functional abilities and limitations for medical-legal purposes.
